LAST WEEK'S QUESTION: How much time do you devote to the mental aspect of your game? And what does the training consist of?

R2D = Refuse To Die

The ultimate reminder to keep grinding. I saw a basketball game where a team gave it all they had in the final moments. The team didn’t have a chance to win, but the final margin was two points. The score really didn’t matter. But the players' tenacity, energy and mental toughness told me a lot about them and their coach. It helped that I was an alumni of that school. So I created the acronym and it comes to me anytime I’m in a tough spot.

JUNE 21 QUESTION OF THE WEEK: If cost were not an issue, then what 14 clubs would you put in your bag?

TaylorMade woods (M1 Driver, 3 and 5 W), rescue (3, 4 and 5), and irons (6-9); 48, 52, 56 wedges and a Scotty Cameron putter.

— Brian Nelson | North Haven, Conn.
